some ?'s about ZC or b16a swap into 90 SI hatch

im looking to get a swap for my 90 SI hatch i just got

i would like people comments ,,or experiences with eaither swap,,
or is there a better swap??

i know the ZC u can use the stock SI trans

and i know the b16a, u need a mounting kit,,do u recommend 1 kit over another??how many kits r out there to mount this in the 90 SI???

what kinda times will i b looking at with the basic I/H/E for both swaps???

also when buying a header or CAI for these swaps,,what car should be looking at for after market parts for

u know what car r these engines coming out of??
are there different ZC's and b16a available,meaning,,do some have more HP,,then others??


also 1 last question

i have a 96 GSR
a 94 DX hatch
and 90 civic SI hatch
which one would u all go with at making a really quick car??

i want to look into a vortec SC(when they come out for the GSR)
or maybe a turbo for my GSR

i want to swap a GSR engine in the 94 hatch

and im trying to choose between the ZC,,and the b16a for the 90
i kind of want to make 1 of my cars low 13's in the qrt,,,but the other 2,,can be mid 14's ,,thats not asking for much is it??heheh
what should i do??

Place Racing and HASport seem to be the two biggies. But their mounts put the b16a in different places, so you need to see which one will do what you want..one puts the motor close to firewall (good for room in front for a turbo) check their websites and the link at the bottom for more info http://www.placeracing.com http://www.hasport.com

ZC w/ I/H/E - mid 15's in 1/4 mile
b16a w/ I/H/E - mid-high 14's?? in 1/4 mile

ZC headers - 88-91 Civic Si (needs minor porting, the real fit for a 4-2-1 two piece header is 89 Integra top half and 88-91 Civic Si bottom half, but good luck buying it that way ) http://www.zcspeed.com is supposed to start making real ZC headers soon.
b16a headers - i guess you just tell them you have a JDM b16a1 - most places that sell headers for Hondas know the b16a (can u tell I know more about the ZC ?? that is the swap I have researched and think I want)
CAI - The 88-91 Civic Si CAI fits the d15b2,d16a6,& ZC. I think the intake for the b16a is the same also, but I am not 100% sure.

what car r these engines coming out of??
ZC was the 88-91 Si in Japan - b16a1 is the 88-91 SiR motor from Japan for 4th gen Civics & has a cable tranny. b16a2 or newer have hydraulic trannies for 92-up Civics

There are different ZC's, the one you want is the DOHC with black valve cover - 130HP.

The '90 Civic of course.. -it is the lightest and will give you the most speed per HP.
